The Child

In this child
simmer dreams that have never been fulfilled
never been accomplished
never been  concluded

They’re hiding

They’re awake in there
deep in a child’s mind
Hearing us
but they won’t come out
Not for love not for possibility

Even when the child grows old
they will still be there
hiding in the mind of an adult
multitudes of days to come may touch them
see them

What dream can it be
that they wont find out
in what dream of the future
would I recognize it
would I be able to follow it
to make out the real dreams
of everyone

Maybe there are not many
it could be there hiding in the innocent
maybe thats all we need
It’s in these dreams

Every child in the world
is like this
